Welcome to the University of Michigan, Biophysics!
Biophysics is conducting a broad faculty search to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or higher. We are considering applications in all areas of biophysics, especially those areas focused on problems of biological significance that use and develop modern biophysical methodologies. We are primarily interested in quantitative experimental or theoretical work across all length scales. Highly interdisciplinary work that bridges disciplines is strongly encouraged and joint appointments with other departments such as Physics, Chemistry, Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology, Complex Systems, Astronomy, or Psychology are desirable. Information about our research areas can be found at http://www.lsa.umich.edu/biophysics.
Biophysics offers access to state-of the art equipment, high-performance computational facilities, and interactions with faculty working on a wide range of biological systems across the University. The search ad for this position can be found here. Please mention in your cover letter if you are interested in a joint appointment with another department.
If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Ann Titus at firstname.lastname@example.org or (734) 764-1146.
