It's Better in the Light: Exploring Atmospheric Heterogeneous Photochemistry
Analytical and Physical Chemistry Analytical Seminar
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Speaker: D. James Donaldson, University of Toronto
Abstract: Although atmospheric chemists have studied photochemistry and heterogeneous processes for decades, it is only recently that photochemistry occurring at the air interface with atmospherically-exposed substrates has been explored. I will present some recent laboratory investigations of these processes on water, ice and urban grime surfaces, which suggest their importance to atmospheric chemistry.
